Following a suggestion that I read I now have Drupal 7 in three places. The first is a development server version on my XP machine which is a WAMPSERVER 2.0. The second is a staging version which is on my Ubuntu 10.4 across the room. It's networked with my XP. The final version, which I call the production version, is on a purchased hosting VPS.

The development version will be used to do all the wild stuff that I want to try. The staging version will be used to try out new modules and themes. The production version will be for modules and themes that seem compatible with everything.
